This is an original bond from Fifteen Park Row Corporation, dated 1932, printed in orange. The vignette features a spread-winged American eagle facing forward with wings outstretched, flanked by denomination panels on each side.
Coupons remain attached, with some coupons detached and redeemed as semi-annual interest payments, a detail that confirms this bond was actively held and paying out through at least its first decade.
The bond itself has no punch holes or cancellation stamps on its face. Offered as a collectible.
At 391 feet and 29 stories, 15 Park Row was the tallest building in the world from its completion in 1899 until the Wanamaker Building addition surpassed it just two years later, a brief but genuine reign at the top of the Manhattan skyline. R.H. Robertson, the Scottish-born architect who designed the tower, gave it a steel-framed structure clad in terra cotta, an approach that placed it at the leading edge of the skyscraper era then reshaping lower Manhattan. The building sat at the heart of what was then called Newspaper Row, a stretch of Park Row where the offices and pressrooms of the New York World, the Tribune, the Times, and a dozen other papers clustered around City Hall Park. By 1932, when this bond was issued, the newspaper industry had largely abandoned the block — the Times had moved to Midtown in 1904 and others followed — leaving 15 Park Row as commercial office space in a neighborhood navigating a difficult transition. Issuing a First Mortgage 20-Year Gold Bond that year, with the country deep in the Great Depression, was no small act: it represented a long-term bet on the property at a moment when Manhattan real estate values had cratered and financing was scarce. The bond's 1952 maturity date straddled the entire postwar economic recovery, making it a document that spans one of the most turbulent stretches in New York's financial history.

Most of these vintage collectable certificates have signs of used & wear , cancellation holes, pencil / pen writing, stamps, staples, adhesives, slight rips, missing coupons and other features.
Handling: Always handle the certificate with clean, dry hands or use cotton gloves to avoid transferring oils and dirt from your skin onto the paper.
Storage: Store the certificate in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can cause fading. Use acid-free folders or archival-quality plastic sleeves to protect it from moisture, dust, and physical damage.
Framing: If displaying the certificate, use a frame with UV-protective glass to prevent light damage. Ensure the certificate is mounted using acid-free materials to avoid any chemical reactions that could degrade the paper over time.
Avoid Exposure: Keep the certificate away from direct sun, extreme temperatures and humidity, which can cause the paper to warp or deteriorate. Avoid exposing it to pollutants, such as smoke or chemicals, which can cause discoloration.
