In 1991, Marvel Entertainment Group was riding an unprecedented comic book boom that would soon reshape the entire industry. Founded in 1939 by publisher Martin Goodman as Timely Publications, the company evolved through the creative genius of Stan Lee, who transformed it into Marvel Comics during the 1960s Silver Age. Lee's revolutionary approach of giving superheroes human flaws and personal problems resonated with readers, making characters like Spider-Man and the X-Men cultural phenomena. By 1991, Marvel was dominating the comic book market under the leadership of Ron Perelman, who had acquired the company in 1989 and was aggressively expanding through licensing deals, trading cards, and toy partnerships. Storage: Store the certificate in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can cause fading. Use acid-free folders or archival-quality plastic sleeves to protect it from moisture, dust, and physical damage.
Framing: If displaying the certificate, use a frame with UV-protective glass to prevent light damage. Ensure the certificate is mounted using acid-free materials to avoid any chemical reactions that could degrade the paper over time.
Avoid Exposure: Keep the certificate away from direct sun, extreme temperatures and humidity, which can cause the paper to warp or deteriorate. Avoid exposing it to pollutants, such as smoke or chemicals, which can cause discoloration.
