This is an original stock certificate from State of New York, dated March 8th, 1867, printed in black ink. Features a vignette of two allegorical female figures flanking the New York state coat of arms, representing Liberty and Justice positioned on either side of the state seal. The certificate displays an ornate engraved border with portrait medallions in decorative corner panels. It was signed by the state's Comptroller in the bottom right.
